Gold Reef City is a tacky but educational amusement park built on the site of one of the first gold mines in Johanessburg. Besides the usual amusement park attractions there are demonstrations of traditional dances, gold pouring, etc.

The most interesting attraction at Gold Reef City is the mine shaft. I went down over 900 feet into shaft #14.
